Daily maintenance of wheeled tractors is key to ensuring efficient and safe operation, especially during busy farming seasons (such as the current spring plowing period), when extra attention is required.
Daily Pre-Operation Checks
Cleaning and Tightening: Remove dirt and oil from the body and check if bolts and nuts in various parts are loose, especially in traveling components like the front wheels and rear axle.
Fluid Checks:
Engine Oil: After shutting down the engine for 15 minutes, pull out the dipstick to check the oil level. It should be between the 'upper-lower' marks; if insufficient, add the same type of engine oil.
Coolant: Add soft water or antifreeze to the radiator and let it sit for 1 hour to check for leaks.
Diesel, Hydraulic Oil, Brake Fluid: Ensure fluid levels are normal with no leaks.
Tire Pressure: The pressure of left and right tires should be equal, inflated according to the manual standards (usually 0.15–0.25 MPa for field work).
Daily Post-Operation Maintenance
Check for the "Three Leaks": Inspect for any oil, water, or air leaks and address them promptly.
Clutch and Brakes: The clutch pedal free play should be 25–35mm; the first press of the brake pedal should fully engage, the second press should not move further, and it should return normally.
Hydraulic System: Check for oil seepage in the suspension cylinders and distributor; keep the hydraulic oil level within the dipstick range.
Clean the Radiator: Remove dirt and weeds from the radiator surface to ensure good ventilation.
